A 77th-minute strike from Odion Ighalo ensured the Super Eagles defeated group B rivals Burundi in the opening group game at the ongoing African Cup of Nations.
Coach Gernot Rohr’s team started the game at the Alexandria Stadium without some regulars but managed to pip the debutantes to brighten their chances of qualifying for the knockout stages.
