Wike has Become PDP Sole Administrator – APC mocks Opposition Party

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has said that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) would not be allowed to use N-power personnel as adhoc staff in the state in the 2019 general election.

Wike disclosed this while addressing thousands of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members at a campaign rally at Omagwa in Ikwerre Local Government Area on Monday.

He said that since the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government started the programme, the beneficiaries would ordinarily be sympathetic towards the party.

Sounding a note of warning to INEC, Wike said, “I hear INEC wants to use N-power personnel as ad hoc staff for the elections. This is a ploy to rig the elections. N-power personnel will not be allowed to serve as INEC ad hoc staff in Rivers State. If you bring them, we will chase them away.”

He also blamed Nigerians for allowing President Muhammadu Buhari, whom he said has no knowledge of the economy, to emerge as president.

“The mass unemployment across the country is due to the emergence of (President Muhammadu) Buhari. All Nigerians should share in the blame for their suffering. We took our future and mandate and handed them over to people who don’t understand job creation,” the governor said.

However, Wike said that a vote for Atiku was a vote for economic prosperity and revitalisation, especially job creation.

He said, “All his life, Atiku Abubakar has been involved in job creation. He is one of the highest employers of labour in Nigeria.”
