2019: Wike is working for Buhari, APC – Deji Adeyanju

Government critic and human rights convener Deji Adeyanju has alleged that the governor of Rivers state and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  Nyesom Wike was working for the victory of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and incumbent President Buhari in the 2019 general elections.

Deji Adeyanju who took to twitter to air his views further alleged that Wike was working against the PDP because he wants to be President in 2023; so he doesn’t care about 2019, Adeyanju wrote on his twitter page.

He also alleged that he got his information from one of the top PDP presidential aspirants at the airport whom he proceeded to ask about the chances of the PDP in the 2019 polls.

According to Mr. Deji, the Rivers state governor was working hard behind the scenes to foist a candidate on the Party and was willing to work for Buhari in a trade off to achieve his goal.

According to Deji;

“Wike is sponsoring a candidate that cannot defeat Buhari and this is why Wike alleged that some of the candidates are working for the presidency to cause division in the party. He said Wike wants to be president in 2023 and is not concerned about 2019.”

The PDP youth stalwart also alleged that the PDP convention was moved to Rivers state in order to facilitate the installation of Wike’s candidate exactly the same way he facilitated the emergence of Uche Secondus as PDP chairman.

“PDP House of Confusion, I pity una. A house divided against itself cannot stand. Bury personal interests.” He concluded.

The PDP has about 13 heavyweights all vying to get the ticket of the Party to contest against President Buhari in next year’s elections.

The presidential hopefuls include, Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Sokoto state Governor Aminu Tambuwal, former vice President, Atiku Abubakar as well as a host of others.
