2020 MTV EMA: Burna Boy, Rema Nominated For An Award

Popular Nigerian artistes, Burna Boy and Rema have been nominated for the same award at the 2020 MTV EMAs.

Burna Boy and Rema have both been nominated for the Best African Act this year.

Other African singers in the category include, Master KG, Kabza de Small and DJ Maphorisa (South Africa), Sheebah (Uganda), Gaz Mawete (Democratic Republic of The Congo and Rema (Nigeria).

Commenting on the announcement, Monde Twala, Senior Vice President and General Manager of ViacomCBS Networks Africa, said: “The 2020 MTV EMAs is one of the biggest entertainment stages in the world and this year’s African nominees are undoubtedly making their presence felt globally. This affirms our commitment to ensuring that we continue to celebrate our diverse talent on international platforms. Congratulations to all our African nominees on this achievement.”

Meanwhile, Davido has terminated the music contract of his record label Artiste, Lil Frosh over allegations of assault against his girlfriend.

Over the weekend, pictures of Lil Frosh’s girlfriend, Gift Camille Okeoghene surfaced online after her boyfriend allegedly beat her beyond recognition.

Gift who is a Model and video vixen sustained severe injuries on her face due to the constant beating she suffered in the hands of Frosh who recently got signed to DMW Record Label.

The victim’s brother who goes by the name Mayoks Michael on Instagram blew the lid on the alleged assault and tagged the artiste.

However, Davido took to his Instagram page to announce the termination of Frosh’s music
