The PDP Presidential Campaign Council has predicted landslide victories for the party in the presidential, governorship and National Assembly elections in Delta State.

Spokesman of the council, Daniel Bwala said this in a tweet on Saturday night.

Bwala’s comment was made the same day that the All Progressives Congress (APC) flagged off its presidential and governorship campaign in the state.

Speaking during the flag-off at the Warri Township Stadium, APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu urged Deltans not to allow their state to turn “ATM” to “migratory politicians”.

He said that despite being one of Nigeria’s richest states, Delta people cannot boast of a standard of living commensurate with the resources accruing to the state.

Tinubu said that the funds might have found a home with a presidential candidate who “loves Dubai more than Nigeria”.

The presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is known to frequently visit Dubai.

According to Tinubu, the governors of Delta from 1999 till date have taken residents of the state for a “hard and long ride”.

The APC candidate urged Deltans to vote for him and the party to experience a positive turnaround in their fortunes.

In an apparent reaction, Bwala said that Delta, whose governor is the PDP vice presidential candidate, would vote emphatically for the PDP in 2023.

“Let it be known that PDP would win in Delta State in Presidential, Governorship and National Assembly in a landslide.

“In the coming days when we lay out the facts it would be clear to the blind, loud to the deaf and succinct to the dumb,” he tweeted.
