The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s performance in the 2023 general election irrespective of the crisis rocking the party will shock Nigerians, former Senate President Bukola Saraki has said.

Saraki said this on Monday while interacting with the media shortly after a 10th memorial anniversary prayer in memory of his late father, Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki in Ilorin, Kwara State on Monday.

Saraki, who is a strong ally of PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, said that the candidate would soon resolve his differences with the G-5 governors led by Nyesom Wike of Rivers State.

He said that the PDP bigwigs would work together to deliver victory for the party in the forthcoming polls.

The former Senate President castigated the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), blaming it failure of governance resulting in “poverty on the streets”.

“We will surprise Nigerians. We are going to work together to better the lot of Nigeria. This is because we all think about what is good for this country. Look at the poverty that is on the street. Look at how governance has not gone well.

“We will put Nigerians first because Nigerians want PDP back in power. The little difference between Governor Wike and Alhaji Abubakar, we will resolve them and at the end of the day whether is Wike or others all of us in PDP want a better Nigeria,” Saraki said.
