Ambassador Aminu Bashir Wali , the former foreign affairs minister under Goodluck Jonathan Administration, has disclosed that the N950 million he received from Diezani Alison-Madueke was used to pay party agents during the presidential elections in April 2015

Alhaji Aminu , who has dismissed the claims of his arrest by EFCC, said that, as leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano State, he received only N950 million two days to the election.

“Yes, it is true that I collected this amount considering the size of Kano which is the most populous state and I immediately disbursed it according to the procedure of our party.

“As a patriotic Nigerian, the invitation from the anti-graft body was honoured and I am back into my family,” he said.

He noted that it is not peculiar to PDP alone as the same method was also applied to APC for the elections.
