28 Days After Abduction, Students, Staff Of Kaduna Poly Regain Freedom

Twenty-eight days after their abduction from the school, six students and two staff of Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic, Zaria in Kaduna State have been freed.

Channels TV reported that the victims regained their freedom on Thursday night.

Public Relations Officer of the Polytechnic, Abdullahi Shehu confirmed the incident, adding that the abductees were freed after their family members negotiated with their abductors.

However, he did not state if any ransom was paid.

The Herald reported that the victims were kidnapped from their hostels and staff quarters located within the school premises on June 11, 2021.

One student was killed in the attack.

The incident forced the school management to suspend academic activities in the school.
