Prof. Akin Abayomi has disclosed that three persons among Nigerians evacuated from Dubai have tested positive to Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
256 Nigerians were evacuated from Dubai last week as part of efforts to protecting citizens from the pandemic.
However, 3 of the 256 returnees have tested positive for the novel Coronavirus, according to a thread of tweets by the Lagos state Health Commissioner.
He wrote:

“3 of the returnees recently evacuated from Dubai have tested positive for #COVID19 infection following #COVID19 test conducted on them.
“Those affected have been admitted to @followlasg #COVID19 care centre for appropriate treatment protocols.”
Abayomi stated that the state Ministry of Health will continue to enforce quarantine protocols and precautionary measures to mitigate the spread of the virus.

He urged state residents to show co-operation with the state’s COVID-19 response team to combat the pandemic
