The father of Nigeria’s stand-up comedy, Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome, alias Ali Baba, has taken to his Instagram page to display his filled award cabinet after 30 years in the profession.
Ali Baba, whose Instagram profile is , on Saturday posted a photo of himself posing with the awards.
He captioned the photo: 30 years of staying relevant from day one when I accidentally climbed on that stage in Bendel State University, Ekpoma… AMEROD PROMOTIONS… Yes. Thank you. And a big thank you to Fidelis Blackbone Onovughakpo… He and Stella O! Stella Olleh! Were the Mcees that called me on stage that day. And I Came on stage, to rescue a situation, after having been a Heckler per excellence. 30 years later… still on the beat. 30 days hath September… and I shall be celebrating each day. Ali Baba, 52, was born in Warri, Delta State but began his education in Lagos, before proceeding to Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University) to earn a degree in Religious Studies and Philosophy.
