Boko Haram terror group carried out an attack on a bar and brothel in Mubi, Adamawa State near a major military base that houses the Special Operations Battalion, the Army’s launch pad for attacks and counter attacks on the insurgent group.

Over 60 lives were reportedly lost, although there is no confirmation yet on the dead or how many of the dead were Nigerian soldiers. Soldiers routinely join civilians to eat and make merry at the bar.

However military commanders had reportedly warned the soldiers not to tarry at the place beyond 4pm, if the soldiers obeyed these others, then truly they would have been spared.
