The Adamawa State chapter of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has been thrown into mourning, as nine of its members died along the Abuja-Jos Highway while returning from the party’s special national convention in Abuja on Saturday.
Immediate reports from Kafanchan in Kaduna State say about nine youths were confirmed dead after the bus they were travelling in was involved in a fatal car crash.
Although details were still sketchy as of the time of filing this report, it was gathered that the accident occurred early in the morning on Sunday.
We also gathered that many others were injured, three of whom had been evacuated to the Federal Orthopedic Hospital, Kano because of the degree of their fractures.
The bodies of the dead and other injured persons were taken to Kafanchan Hospital by rescue officials.
