9 killed, 24 Injured As Twin Suicide Bombing Hits Maiduguri

A total of nine people have been reported dead from the twin suicide bombing which rocked the Maiduguri in the northeastern part of the country.

The two suicide bombing left at least 24 persons injured.

According yo the Nigeria Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the bombing occurred ten minutes apart with the Bakassi IDP as the main target.

NEMA in a statement issued said through its spokesman, Mohammed Kanar: “Two suicide bombers riding in motorised rickshaws this morning detonated their explosives 10 minutes apart, with one of them targeting the Bakassi IDP (internally displaced persons) camp on the outskirts of the city,

The emergency service further added in a statement released via its social media page on Twitter: “Nine persons lost their lives with twenty-four persons injured and evacuated to various hospitals.”
