Abacha Loot: Nigerians dare FG to name beneficiaries

3 Min Read

Following a report that the recovered Abacha loot has been channelled towards improving the lives of the poor, as disclosed the Special Adviser to the President on Social Investments, Mrs. Maryam Uwais, Nigerians have challenged the FG to name the “poor” beneficiaries.

Maryam Uwais, disclosed that part of the loot have been disbursed to a unit of National Social Investment Programme N-SIP called National Cash Transfer Programme, where the money was playing a substantial role in changing the living conditions of extremely poor Nigerians.

However, this information was not welcome to Nigerians who believe the money was being squandered, hence they dared the Federal Government to provide the list of names who have benefited from the loot so far.

Several Nigerians have taken to Twitter to call out the FG. Read some of their reactions.
