Following the release of 82 Chibok girls from the captivity of the Islamist-Jihadist sect, Boko Haram on Saturday, fresh reports has indicated that some of the abducted school girls have turned down offers to be freed from their captors.

The report comes after the 82 Chibok girls were freed in exchange for Boko Haram prisoners.

Speaking regarding the release of the girls, the legal practitioner who negotiated the release of the girls, Zannah Mustapha during an interview with Reuters disclosed that some of the girls still in captivity of the deadly sect
have refused to be freed.

The legal practitioner further alleged that some of the girls have been radicalized.

He said: “Some girls refused to return. I have never talked to one of the girls about their reasons. As a mediator, it is not part of my mandate to force them to return home.”
