Rescue Workers are currently hard at work trying to rescue two laborers who are still trapped under a collapsed 6 storey building in Gwarinpa, Abuja. The building which was under construction was said to have collapsed at about 1 a.m; trapping 5 laborers. Through the combined efforts of the Abuja Police, FEMA and NEMA, three people have been rescued but the remaining two are still trapped under the rubble.
An eyewitness in the area praised the efforts of the rescue agencies in rescuing the victims.
“They were very quick to respond. It did not take time for them to arrive and immediately begin the rescue. It is commendable,” he said.
