The former Inter and Roma player, who was also coach of Serbia has been dismissed by the Rossoneri after a run of five matches without a win left them in sixth place in Serie A

AC Milan have sacked manager Sinisa Mihajlovic, the club have confirmed.

It was decided after a three-hour dinner yesterday between Brocchi and the club’s President Silvio Berlusconi.

The statement on their site read dismissing Mihajlovic;

“AC Milan communicate the relief of Mr Sinisa Mihajlovic from his duties as a Coach,” reads the statement. “He has all of our thanks for the work he has done with honesty and drive.

“The Coaching of the team passes to Cristian Brocchi until the end of the season. AC Milan wishes him the best for his work.”

Mihajlovic was appointed boss last summer, Milan find themselves in sixth place in Serie A, 15 points behind the Champions League spots, with six matches left to play.
