Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi has come out to speak on behalf of the committee as regards the opinion Funke Adesiyan and actor Kayode Salako on the logistics surrounding the repatriation of Moji Olaiya body to Nigeria from Canada.
He took to his Twitter account to indicate that while Funke Adesiyan made her contribution and it’s well appreciated but the opinion expressed by her and actor Kayode Salako are entirely theirs and the committee has reacted privately to them to convey our reservations.
According to Yomi Fabiyi who happens to be the publicity secretary, they are not speaking for us, owing to the emergency of the situation and ultimatum we had, 102 actors were shortlisted for voluntary donations as our plan A and by the time of going to seek alternate support, only 5 had responded and because time is of the essence, we sought an audience with relevant Governments and individuals.
He also stated that since the Grand/Life Patron and former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu had taken up the responsibility without delay, we decided to suspend the official request to the Ekiti State Government.
