Adamawa Govt Orders Free Treatment For Victims Of Madagali Bombing

In the wake of Monday’s suicide bombing in Madagali, the Adamawa State Government has ordered free treatment for the injured, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.

This was disclosed by the State Commissioner for Information, Mallam Ahmad Sajoh while speaking to NAN on Tuesday in the state capital, Yola.

He said the state government had also dispatched an assessment team to the scene of the blast which he said left 17 persons dead and 41 others injured.

The commissioner said: “So far we have 17 dead and 41 injured who have been taken to hospitals in Madagali, Mubi and Yola.

“The state government has directed free treatment for the injured.”

Also, he appealed to the residents to exercise caution and be more vigilant, while urging them to report suspicious movements in their vicinity to security agencies to nip such attacks in the board.

Sajoh stated that the state government would intensify efforts in enlightenment campaign programmes in the area on the need to be security conscious.
