The Managing Director of First City Monument Bank (FCMB), Adam Nuru, has proceeded on leave as the board launched a probe into allegations of unethical conduct against him.

Adam Nuru has been accused of dating a married former subordinate, Moyo Thomas, whose husband, Tunde Thomas reportedly died after discovering the truth.

It was further alleged that Moyo and Tunde’s two children were fathered by the FCMB MD.

Adam Nuru reportedly proceeded on voluntary leave as a way of ensuring the sanctity of the review process earlier promised by the bank.

“The managing director volunteered to proceed on leave pending the outcome of the investigation of this scandal.

“Although it is a personal matter, the issue has gone really far and many allegations were made,” TheCable quoted an unnamed source as saying.
