The Super Eagles of Nigeria’s loss to their Tunisian counterparts at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) is currently eliciting diverse reactions from fans on social media.

The Carthage Eagles knocked Austin Eguavoen’s side out of the tournament courtesy of a 47th-minute goal from Mohamed Dräger.

Nigeria’s chances of getting back into the game dampened after Alex Iwobi was red-carded in the 66th minute, barely two minutes after coming on.

The loss brought to an abrupt end what was hitherto a blistering performance for the Super Eagles, who were the only team to win their three group games, with victories against Egypt, Sudan and Guinea Bissau.

Meanwhile, many Nigerians have taken to Twitter to react to the loss.
