Suspected bandits invade Garin Labo in Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State on Tuesday afternoon, abducting the village head.
he was said to have been abducted about 1pm while on his farm alongside some other villagers.
The Punch reported that the bandits stormed the farm on motorcycles and started shooting indiscriminately.

Spokesman for the police in the state,SP Gambo Isah, confirmed the development on Wednesday.
He said, “It is true. Efforts are on course to rescue him. Operation Puff Adder responded to the distress call but since the abduction was inside his farm near the Rugu forest, the hoodlums had fled into the forest before help could reach him. We are following a lead that may assist us in his rescue.
“We are calling on members of the community to always form groups while going to their farms and inform the security agencies for security back up.
