Again, police find body of man lying beside Sniper bottle Lagos

The body of a 35-year-old man was on Saturday, recovered by officer of the Lagos State Police Command, in the Ijanikin area of Lagos State.

According to reports, the deceased’s body was discovered in a bush, after he supposedly committed suicide using the banned insecticide, Sniper.

His body was then moved to the Mainland General Hospital in Yaba for further examinations and autopsy.

At the time of this report, the body has not been matched with an identity yet.

Speaking to newsmen about the incident, the Lagos State Police Spokesperson, Bala Elkana, said, “On Saturday, August 3, 2019, around 9.30am, information received by the Ijanikin Police Station revealed that one unidentified man, about 35 years old, was lying dead in a bush beside the bridge at Adio bus stop, Ijanikin, Lagos.

“A team of homicide detectives led by the DPO, Ijanikin Police Station, visited the scene. On close observation, one plastic bottle of Sniper, suspected to have been taken by the deceased, was found by his side. Photographs were taken and the corpse was removed and deposited in the Mainland General Hospital, Yaba, Lagos, for autopsy. Investigation is ongoing.”
