Aisha Buhari Tenders Heartfelt Apology over Viral Video

First Lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari has tendered a heartfelt apology to Nigerians over the embarrassment of the video, circulated on social media.

This was made known by the Spokesman to the First Lady,  Suleiman Haruna who stated that Madam Aisha apologized while hosting all the wives of 36 Nigerian Governors at the Presidential villa.

“Commenting on the videos circulating on social networks, [Aisha] Buhari extended her apology to her children, her immediate family members and all well-meaning Nigerians over the embarrassment that the videos had caused,”

The video which went viral on all social media platforms, featured the First Lady engaged in a shouting match with Fatima Daura,  daughter to Mamman Daura who is President Buhari’s cousin.

Recall Fatima Daura in a BBC interview, disclosed she recorded the video as evidence Aisha attacked her in the Aso villa “incase something happened”.

The First Lady in her defence admitted she was truly the one in the video which was shot over a year ago.

According to her, she was shouting because she was being denied access to the Glass House, an apartment in the Aso Villa where her son, Yusuf Buhari was expected to recuperate after his bike accident. She said the Dauras refused to vacate the quarters even after they were told to leave.

The First Lady also said,  Fatima was laughing at her while recording the video in the presence of Security operatives.
