How Aisha Buhari travelled to UK for two months for “a well-deserved rest”

First Lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari who has been away from the country for the past two months, has revealed the reason behind her sudden absence.

Aisha Buhari departed Nigeria in August to attend the Hajj in Saudi Arabia and has not returned to the country, ever since, until now.

The First Lady arrived Nigeria early Sunday morning on a British Airways flight.

According to reports, Aisha travelled to the United Kingdom after her trip to Saudi Arabia and has remained there for the past two months.

Suleiman Haruna, Spokesperson to the First Lady released a statement confirming the arrival of Aisha at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport at exactly 4:30am, as reported by Today Politics.

In the statement,  It was revealed Aisha Buhari travelled to the United Kingdom to take “a well-deserved rest

“Speaking to reporters on arrival, Mrs Buhari said she was happy to be home after a well-deserved rest,”

“She confirmed that she was fully rejuvenated to continue the work of improving the health and well-being of women, children and other vulnerable Nigerians.

“She used the opportunity to thank her husband, family and well-wishers for their support and encouragement.

“On hand to receive her were wives of present and former governors and many associates,” it added.
