Co-convener of Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) Campaign Aisha Yesufu has blasted Rotimi Amaechi, Minister of Transport for denying an attack on him by suspected kidnappers.

Amaechi earlier debunked a report that he was attacked by unknown gunmen during a train ride in Kaduna state.

A report by Daily Nigerian claimed the Minister and other passengers were attacked by suspected kidnappers who laid an ambush around Mando area for the commuters who were expected to alight at  Rigasa train station by 8:15pm. Passengers alleged Amaechi who was among the passengers, took to his heels just as some soldiers arrived in armoured vehicles to fight off the hooligans.

However, the Minister has debunked the report stating it is “fake news”.

This did not go down well with Aisha Yesufu whose relatives were also on the same train as the Minister.

In a video posted on her Twitter page, the BBOG Co-convener said the Minister should be ashamed of himself as he has become a victim of the insecurity plaguing the poor masses.

“Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi you should be ashamed of yourself. My sister, my brother and my sister-in-law were on that train. When your convoy scattered and you fled like a newborn mouse whom water have been poured on, it was witnessed! Governance is not by lies and propaganda!”

“So Amaechi thought he had security and he was immune to the insecurity that affects the rest of us.”

“Even the President is not secure. What he has is illusion of security. The more these attacks happen, the more likely we are going to be victims.”
