Co-covener of Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) Movement and one of the leading voices in the #EndSARS protest, Aisha Yesufu says she is not afraid to die.

She stated this while reacting to alleged threats to her life from northerners over her constant vilification of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.

Yesufu said that those threatening to kill her do not know their real enemies.

Asked if she feared for her life, she replied, “No, I am not afraid for my life; we are all dead in Nigeria. Is this life?

“Today, there is nobody living in Nigeria; we are all surviving. What we have here is not life.

“Come on, we are all going to die anyway. I was 10 years old when I came to the realisation that the worst thing any human being could do to me was to kill me and it is not really the worst thing because I would die anyway.

“I am 46 now and will be 47 in December so I am not threatened by some people with misplaced priorities, who do not know their enemies.

“With all the killings going on in the North, which one of them has ‘called out’ the President, who has failed woefully to secure lives and property or condemned Abubakar Shekau, but they feel Aisha Yesufu is their enemy.”
