Akpabio distances self from social media accounts

Former Governor of Akwa Ibom, Chief Godswill Akpabio has distanced himself from frivolous Twitter and Facebook accounts created in his name.

In a personal statement, the Senate Minority leader, who was recently released from hospital after a road crash, said he did not open or authorize anyone to open any social media account on his behalf.

Akpabio equally, through the statement, thanked all the top functionaries of the Buhari administration, traditional rulers and religious leaders for their support throughout his hospital stay.

Senator Akpabio was said to have been flown to London to be treated for injuries he sustained when his vehicle crashed into another vehicle in Abuja last August 31.
