The bail application by the counsel to the immediate past Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh (Rtd) has been granted by the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.
The bail conditions include the sum of N2 billion and two sureties in the sum of N1 billion each, the sureties must also be Abuja residents.
Justice Okon Abang, the presiding Judge over the case maintained that the case for which Badeh was brought to court is a bailable one, adding that Badeh will be treated innocent until proven guilty. However, the judge request that Badeh submit his international passport to the court.
The judge in his ruling stated that the conditions of bail imposed on Badeh is based on the circumstances surrounding his case and the weight of the allegations levelled against him.
