Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s time to shine for Arsenal

The current situation with Arsenal having had three of its key players suffer Injury at their last time out with Tottenham will require extreme tactical skill to keep the team going in the great form they started in.

Medical reports confirmed that the effect of Aaron Ramsey’s hamstring injury is worse than feared; he will not be able to play for 5 weeks or more.
This could be be a big blow to the Gunners considering his great form.

An option will be to give 21-year-old  Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain a chance to flourish in the midfield where he holds a good future.
His impressive play coming in as a substitute for Jack Wilshere in Dortmund game a couple of weeks ago and still retained the same form to score against Tottenham last weekend means he’s worthy a try.

Ox could pair with Jack Wilshere in Sunday’s fixture with Chelsea.

Mikel Arteta’s who recently suffered a calf strain has a few words to chip in for the youngster.
“I have to mention our British players as well, particularly Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who for me is one of my little joys I want him to do well because the potential he has is second to none. This player if he really wants to, if he focuses, can go to the top, top, top,” he said.

In other News, various reports this morning suggest that Olivier Giroud has signed a contract extension which will keep him at the club until 2018.

Daily mail also suggested that Arsenal’s captain Mikel Arteta has been offered a one year contract extension at the club.
“Arsene Wenger’s standard policy for players over 30 is to offer them no more than 12 months at a time but this will suit Arteta, who inherited the captaincy from Thomas Vermaelen in the summer,” reports Daily mail.

The North Londoners are also rumoured to be having talks with Theo Walcott over keeping the starlet as his contract is due to expire in 2016.

He is expected to resume training after his comeback from a cruciate ligament in his knee against Tottenham in January.
