Alex Iwobi is likely to be hit with a £60,000 fine, after Arsene Wenger said he broke curfew to attend a drug-fuelled birthday party. Partying till 2am on Saturday right before Arsenals FA Cup loss to the Championship side Nottingham Forest the next day on Sunday.
The Nigerian Star put in an appalling performance losing 4-2 to the Nottingham side and now under threat of relegation. Wenger saw the Sun’s story about Iwobi’s party antics and stated he will reprimand the player.
“His behaviour was unacceptable. If that is true he will be fined, it is impossible to go out before the game, it is unacceptable. I will see him to see if it is right or not.
It was not the night before the game it was 48 hours before the game. But it is not acceptable, I will have to speak to him.
First of all you have to be cautious with all the news coming out. When you read what is reported it is like he has taken drugs.
He has been out at a birthday party, how long he has stayed is what is important. If your neighbour takes drugs what can you do about it? you are responsible for your own behaviour not anyone else.

Wegner was supposed to have had a talk with Iwobi after training yesterday to hear his side of the story. It is after this he will decide whether he will be part of the squad for the Caraboa Cup semi-final against Chelsea.
