Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has claimed that the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, approached a prominent pastor over the release of his tapes.

Omokri said that the minister, who is also the Director General of the Buhari Campaign Organisation, urged the pastor to plead with him to stop releasing the tapes.

So far, Omokri has released four of the tapes in which Amaechi purportedly criticised President Muhammadu Buhari’s economic policies, called Nigerians “cowards”, and complained about his meagre salaries and allowances.

Omokri said, “I released #AmaechiTapes. Chibuike Amaechi has not denied them. Festus Keyamo parked well. Meanwhile low level messengers like Tolu Ogunlesi are saying it is ‘doctored’. Doctored? Yet, Amaechi himself has been reaching out to a prominent man of God to beg.”

He added, “When Festus Keyamo was setting up an innocent man of God, Chibuike Amaechi did‘nt intervene to stop him. Instead, he gave Keyamo the job of Muhammadu Buhari’s campaign spokesman. So why is Amaechi approaching a man of God to beg that we stop releasing #AmaechiTapes?”
