The APC Lagos primaries which were supposed to hold may be postponed yet again in order to allow the National Secretariat intervene in a number of issues facing the party.

This was contained in a report exclusive to TheCable which stated that the Ambode/Sanwo-Olu saga is far from over.

Many thought that Ambode’s ambitions were dead as it was clear that Bola Tinubu, a former Governor and national leader of the party clearly prefers Sanwo-Olu

According to TheCable’s report, the APC primaries which were to be held today may now be shifted to Tuesday or Wednesday so as to national secretariat solve a number of issues in the state.

The primaries have already suffered postponement in the hopes that Ambode and Tinubu might be able to thrash things out.

“For instance, Ambode does not even have the new APC membership card,” said a source for TheCable

“He cannot vote if the primary holds on Monday. The producers of the card did not hand over the cards to the national secretariat as expected but handed them directly to the Lagos party exco. This has led to a lopsided distribution that may impact on the final result.”

With the deadline of the 7th of October looming over all political parties to decide their Governorship candidates, the APC Lagos crisis is sure to come to a conclusion soon, one way or the other.
