Ambode pleads with Lagosians over shortage in Fuel and Power distribution

The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, has pleaded with Lagosians to bear with the State government with regards to the lingering shortage in fuel and electricity supply.

The state Governor through the Commissioner for Information and strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde urged residents of the mega city to remain calm, orderly and law-abiding as all hands are on deck to resolve the shortage as soon as possible.

Also in the statement released on Wednesday, the State Governor noted that the state government is aware of the hardships caused by the scarcity of fuel and shortage of electricity supply as the mega city consumes more than 40 per cent of the fuel and energy needs of the country.

Governor Ambode expressed that he shares the pain and discomfort of Lagosians and assures that the President, Muhammadu Buhari also is working in the situation in order to bring a lasting solution to the problem and alleviate the sufferings of the citizens.
