Lagos State Governor, Akinwumni Ambode has said that the re-opening of Apapa Amusement Park will revitalise tourism in the state.

Ambode made this statement during the official inauguration of the redeveloped Apapa Amusement Park in Lagos.

The 40- year- old Amusement Park was shut down on March 17, 2012 by the state government for upgrading.

The governor represented byhis Special Adviser on Arts and Culture, Mrs Adebimpe Akinsola said construction of the amusement will be replicated across the state.

He said “Our plan is to see that we generate good income from the parks for Lagosians and visitors to enjoy themselves.

“The park provides picture-perfect moments and memories that last a lifetime; also an ideal place for family fun.”
