AMVCA Attendees asked to Self-Isolate as participant tests positive to COVID-19

Attendees of the 2020 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) have been asked to self-isolate.

Lagos state Commissioner for Health, Akin Abayomi gave the directive after a participant of the awards ceremony tested positive to the deadly Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease.

The attendees have been advised to observe the self-isolation rule as a precautionary measure in curtailing the widespread of the virus.

Abayomi said, “I hereby notify you that all participants at the African Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) held on 14th March at @EkoHotels may have come in contact with one of the confirmed cases in Lagos and are most likely to have been exposed to #COVID19 Infection.

“Attendees at the said event are therefore advised to: observe strict self- isolation.

“Call our #TollFree line 08000corona if they notice any of the #COVID19 related symptoms

“Let’s #TakeResponsibility by practicing #SocialDistancing to prevent the spread of the virus.”

Some of the attendees of the 2020 AMVCAs are Toke Makinwa, 2019 BBNaija Winner Mercy, Symply Tacha, Denola Grey, Funke Akindele Bello etc
