JUST IN: Lagos state Commissioner announces another COVID-19 Death

Lagos state Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi has disclosed the death of an 83-year-old woman who died from COVID-19 complications.

Commissioner Abayomi who made the disclosure via his Twitter handle said the woman had underlying health issues.

He tweeted;

”Lagos recorded 1 death, bringing total number of #COVID19 related deaths in Lagos to 14. The deceased is a female, aged 83 with underlying health issues.

“Let’s observe #SocialDistancing and #StayHome to stop the transmission of #COVID19 infection”

 

Lagos has the highest number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria, with 309 confirmed cases, 109 discharged patients and 14 deaths.
