The member representing Sagamu Constituency 1 in the Ogun State House of Assembly, Yinka Mafe, has been accused of sponsoring killer political thugs in the state.

This followed the arrest of four suspects – Olushola Adedeji, Olusegun Olalekan, a.k.a Musket, Azeez  a.k.a Anene and Abolore a.ka AB – for the murder of one Arsenal-Nice within the lawmaker’s constituency last Thursday.

The suspects  upon interrogation claimed to be Mafe’s thugs.

Recall that Senate President Bukola Saraki is also facing a similar case after arrested suspected perpetrators of the infamous Offa Bank Robbery of April 5 claimed to be his political thugs.

The suspects were reportedly caught with arms and ammunition in their hideout by the Federal Special Anti Robbery Squad, Zonal Intervention Squad, Obada, Abeokuta.

However, Mafe, who is the Majority Leader of the House, vehemently denied the allegations, saying he would defend himself in court as a qualified lawyer, Vanguard reported.

Furthermore, the lawyer described the allegations as beer parlour gist, urging the police to charge the suspects to court to expose the truth behind the matter.
