The acting deputy national secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Victor Giadom, claims that the party national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, remains suspended.

Recall that The Herald reported on Wednesday that Justice Senchi Z. Danlami of an FCT High Court ordered the suspension of Oshiomhole as national chairman of the APC.

A Federal High Court sitting in Kano later voided the suspension of APC national chairman.  Justice Lewis Allagoa set aside Wednesday’s interim injunction of Justice Senchi of the FCT High Court which suspended the party boss.

Meanwhile, Giadom in a statement in Abuja on Sunday, March 8, stated that he has taken over the running of the party from the national chairman.

He urged party members to ignore a notice by some party chieftains which declared the March 17 emergency NEC meeting illegal.

Giadom said as the acting national secretary of the APC, he has the constitutional power to steer activities of the party since he is the most senior party official in charge.

Earlier, The Herald reported that Oshiomhole said some ministers and governors were behind his travail because of 2023 presidential election.

Oshiomhole made this known on Thursday evening after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
