A former Governor of Rivers State and the director general of the Buhari Campaign Organisation, Rotimi Amaechi, has said that APC champions poor people.
The Minister for Transport made this statement while campaigning in Warri.
He spoke to the people in colloquial English, claiming that he too came from a poor home and that APC supported poor people while the opposition party, PDP, is for the rich who want to steal from the country.
“Dem born me for Ubima, Ubima na for poor people, no be big man. This election na only for poor people and big men; big men dey one side, poor men dey one side.

“APC na for poor people. So we no go allow these thieves collect power from us again o. All of us wey be poor men go comot go vote o,” he added.
He also advised the people present not to be caught dozing on the day of Election as he claimed that the PDP will use underhanded methods to try and gain the upper hand in the elections.
“PDP will steal the forms and write results as they did in the past”. he warned.
Amaechi urged the people to vote Ifeanyi Okowa out of the state and vote for APC at all levels of government.
