The Peoples Democratic Party has stated that ousted Central Bank Governor Lamido Sanusi was busy giving leaders of the All Progressives Congress huge contracts whilst he was at the helm of the number one bank.

PDP National spokesman, Chief Olisa Metuh made the disclosure at a press briefing in Abuja on Thursday.

Metuh said this was why many APC leaders were taking panadol for Sanusi’s headache.

His words, “The spirited defence for the suspended Central Bank Governor  mounted by the APC was because the leaders of the party benefited immensely from Sanusi.

“A fraudulent N84bn contract was awarded to a leader of the party while another N5bn  was paid to another stalwart of the party as consultancy fee.”

This revelation comes days after Mallam Nasir Elrufai admitted that his firm, Elrufai and Associates received a contract for consultancy services on a conference center envisioned by the leadership of the CBN.

The recipient of the alleged N84 billion contract remains unknown.
