APC Not in Crisis, Party Stronger Than Ever Ahead of 2027 – Felix Morka

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed speculations of an internal crisis threatening its stability ahead of the 2027 general elections, insisting the party is growing stronger and more united.
Felix Morka, the APC National Publicity Secretary, made the assertion on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, amid swirling reports of tension over endorsements and defections.

Morka addressed concerns following backlash from some northern political figures over the early endorsement of President Bola Tinubu for a second term. He insisted that such debates are part of normal democratic discourse and not signs of disarray.
“We are waxing strong. The APC and its prospects have never been better,” Morka said.
“You can’t possibly say that the many competent and tested politicians joining our party do not know what they’re doing.”
APC Gains Ground Despite Opposition Criticism
While critics point to internal disagreements and endorsements as signs of cracks within the APC, Morka described these concerns as exaggerated. He said the influx of seasoned politicians from traditionally opposition strongholds such as Delta and Akwa Ibom proves the ruling party’s growing appeal.
“These defections are not motivated by fear or desperation. Even in states where the opposition may still win, politicians are voluntarily aligning with the APC due to its national relevance and future prospects,” he added.
Morka maintained that APC remains the most viable political platform in Nigeria, and those anticipating its collapse would be disappointed.
“More political heavyweights are on the way. The APC is not going into flames — it is a wildfire of progress that more Nigerians are joining,” he said.
