Popular musician, David Adeleke aka Davido has alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government was plotting to orchestrate the arrest of opposition youths in the country ahead of the general election.
He said that the arrests would commence this week.
Davido, who is known to be sympathetic towards the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), made the allegation in a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Sunday.
According to him, the alleged arrests was an act of desperation by the ruling party as it knows it would lose the forthcoming elections.
The artiste, who is rooting for PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, urged the youths to be careful to avoid unwarranted arrest.
Meanwhile, he urged the youths to go out and vote on February 16 and March 2 and also defend their votes.
He said, “They are planning to start arresting Youths as from next week for no reason be careful my people they know they are going to lose and they have a plan like always let’s stick together and let’s all be careful on these streets !! #DEFENDYOURVOTE“
