What must be, must be – APC reacts to Kalu’s release from Kuje Prison

Abia state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reacted to the release of Orji Uzor Kalu from Kuje Correctional Centre.

The former Abia state Governor was in 2019 sentenced to 12 years in prison after he was found guilty of looting state funds to the tune of N7.1billion.

However, Justice Liman of a Federal High court sitting in Lagos on Tuesday ordered the immediate release of Kalu.

Reacting to this news, APC released a victory statement entitled “What must be, must be” The party said it was assured that Kalu’s freedom describing it as a gift from God.

The victory statement reads;

“When the decision to jail him was revoked by the Supreme Court, we were not surprised. Today, we are not surprised as well because what must be must be. We’re glad that in this new month, God has given us a new gift. Our leader’s freedom is a huge gift to all of us.”

“All glory, honour, power and adoration be onto God, our king and our maker for granting our political leader this freedom. We shall remain grateful to God and never forget that he alone made it possible because he’s the greatest and fairest judge.”
