The race for the 2019 elections is well and truly underway with the All Progressive Congress (APC) releasing the timetable for its primaries.
The ruling party also released the price list for its nomination forms.
The primaries for the role of President will be held on the 20th of September
Emma Ibediro, the national organising secretary of the APC, released the published schedule and timetable yesterday
From the price list, expression of interest form for the office of the President costs N5million, while the nomination form costs N40 million. This makes it about N45 million together for the office of the President.

The APC announced that it will be slashing prices at 50 percent for women and people with disabilities and that there would be no extra charge for the office of the Vice President which means that potentially, Presidential aspirants could split fees with their potential running mate.
Prices for other offices include, governorship posts at N22.5 million for both expression of interest and nomination forms.
House of assembly aspirants will pay N850,000 while aspirants into the house of representatives are to pay N3.8 million and the senate, N7 million.
According to Ibediro, the APC will begin sales of the form on the 5th of September to the 10th when it will close and then all forms are expected to be submitted not later than September 12.
September 13 and 14 are the days set aside to listen to appeals that may arise from the congress and September 15 to 18 will be for the screening of aspirants that purchased forms.
