APC’s Abubakar Audu records landslide victory, emerges Kogi governor

The All Progressives Congress candidate, Abubakar Audu has emerged the winner of the Kogi state gubernatorial election with a comparative landslide victory.

According to results released thus far by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), APC’s Audu recorded 231.863 votes and the runner up Ibrahim Wada of the Peoples Democratic Party scored 199.514 votes.

Of the 21 LG’s in the State, Audu took Ofu, Ida, Kabba Bunu, Yagba East, Yagba West, Adavi, Koton Karfi, Ankpa, Okehi, Ajaokuta, Ijumun, Olamaboro, Igalamela, Bassa, Lokoja, and Ibaji.

PDP won Ogori Mangogo, Omala, Okene, Dekina  and Mopa-moro local governments.
