Apple’s iPhone 7 May Be Launched In Three Variants

Apple has been launching two iPhone variants at a time since 2014 but if rumours are to be believed, the company may launch three variants of iPhone 7 later this year.

Along with iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, Apple may also launch iPhone 7 Pro in September featuring dual rear cameras.

The recently-discovered iPhone 7 Pro is of the same size as iPhone 7 Plus but features dual rear cameras and a magnetic connector on its back. It may also feature stronger specifications than iPhone 7 Plus but that is not a confirmed fact as of now.

The Wall Street Journal recently revealed that Apple will keep 32GB as the base storage in iPhone 7 and will also launch 64GB and 256GB variants for those with high storage requirements.

The report also said that iPhone 7 will not feature a 3.5mm headphone port, will be thinner and water resistant and will feature ‘substantial camera improvements.’

Macotakara, a Japanese tech news website, has also reported that Apple may not include the 3.5mm headphone jack in iPhone 7 but will ship the handset with 3.5mm ear pods with lightning adapters.

‘At Computex Taipei 2016, many manufacturers showcased their new Lightning audio adaptors, and it seems there has been rumors that the EarPods with Remote and Mic to be included with the new iPhone 7 series will still come with its own headphone jack as usual, and that a Lightning headphone jack adaptor will also be included in the package,’ said the website.
