Armenia: Cardi B Responds To Accusations Of Supporting Terrorists

American rapper, Cardi B has apologized after facing serious backlash for promoting a virtual fundraiser for Armenia.

 

The post was shared amid Armenia’s escalating conflict with Azerbaijan over the Nagorno-Karabakh territory. According to reports, dozens of people have reportedly died and hundreds have been injured due to the clash. International leaders have since called for both sides to agree to a ceasefire.

Following Cardi B’s post about Armenia, the rapper faced serious backlash with many people accusing her of supporting terrorists. However, via an audio message, Cardi B has apologized, noting that she and her team didn’t dig deep into the warring conflict.

According to Cardi B, she was speaking with a consultant while discussing selling one of her properties and he told her about what was happening between Armenia and Azerbaijan. He asked her to share information about Armenia “for a good cause”.

She said: “My wish is, since I did a little bit of research today because you guys left me so much comments, my wish is that both the countries would just be at peace. You guys already have big pieces of land. There’s no tiny land that is worth chaos, death, fighting, especially in this year,

“I’m sorry that I offended anybody, that is not my style, I don’t like that type of stuff … we just really wish peace, and that’s it.”
