The former National Security Adviser Sambo Dasuki has spoken up again, accusing the Federal Government of abusing court processes.

Dasuki made the allegations in a motion on notice filed before Justice Peter Affen  in an Abuja High Court in Maitama.

In the fresh motion on notice filed by his counsel, Joseph Daudu, the former National Security Adviser said the Nigerian government is persecuting him, rather than engaging in due process and appropriate legal process.

This is coming following the three different criminal charges instituted against him in three different court in Abuja.

Two of the charges border on money laundering and abuse of public office during his tenure as the national security adviser.

He is also facing another trial on illegal possession of firearms among others before Justice Ademola Adeniyi of the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Dasuki said: “It was wrong in law and even against natural justice for the government to arraign the defendant before two different high courts of the Federal Capital Territory on the same sections of the law and on the same alleged arms fund.”

All charges against the former national security adviser were instituted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

“The defendant is not afraid of trial but the due process of the law must be followed in the interest of justice” the motion added.
