Men of the Nigerian Army in Operation Lafiya Dole have stopped a female teenage suicide bomber from killing herself.

The girl was one of three female teenage would-be suicide bombers who attempted to detonate their bombs in Gamboru, Ngala LGA of Borno State.

Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Operation Lafiya Dole, Onyema Nwachukwu said two of the three were “neutralised” around 6.45am on Tuesday.

“A third female suicide bomber was intercepted within the same general area.

“She confessed that they were deployed at about 3.30 a.m. on Tuesday to unleash mayhem on Gamboru town.

“The suicide bomber also revealed the location where she hid her IED vest and led the troops to recover it

“The recovered vests and the surviving suicide bomber have been taken into custody for further interrogations,” he said.

The army spokeman urged residents to report any suspicious movements to security agencies for prompt action.

Perhaps, if many of these suicide bombers girls are educated, many of the attacks will be nibbed in the buds. More sensations and enlightenments to residents of north east and other parts of the country.
